PR and Marketing Officer
Band 4 £17,473.16 to £21,015.37 per annum pro rata
22.5hpw (to be worked flexibly to include some weekend/evening work)
 
 
 
We are looking for a PR & Marketing Officer to promote Hospiscare in the local and national media and to support the charity’s marketing.
Educated to degree level, with a proven track record in journalism or PR, you will have impressive skills in copywriting and proofreading and be familiar with handling local and national media.  Demonstrating the ability to communicate with stakeholders from all walks of life you will proactively identify stories and issues and place them in the media.  Marketing experience will be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to work their hours very flexibly, attending events and speaking on behalf of Hospiscare which will involve some weekend and evening work.

TRUST AND STATUTORY FUNDRAISING OFFICER

My client, Bibic is a national charity based in Bridgwater.  They work with children who may have complex conditions from brain injury to autism, cerebral palsy to challenging behaviour and global developmental delay to ADHD. Bibic offer help and support to children and their familes, this highly valuable service can enable familes to bring out the best in their children, helping them to build their skills and independence and putting the family back in control.  With the majority of income raised from fundraising activities it is essential that they recuit a strong and committed fundraising team.

 

THE ROLE

 

-          To research and write applications for trusts, and grant-giving bodies.

-          To seek out statutory funding opportunities and create bids to secure the work and meet annual financial targets

-          To research and accurately portray the work of bibic, and establish effective cases for funding through all applications

-          To clean, manage and grow the database of existing and potential trusts and foundations and statutory sources of funding

-          To research, implement and develop client care and communication strategies for individual trusts and ensure regular progress reports on funded projects

-          To research the market place and collect information and intelligence to influence the rolling business plan

 

 

THE PERSON

 

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trust Fundraiser who can demonstrate the following:-

 

-          Experience of writing successful fundraising applications    

-          An understanding of the principles of donor care

-          A determination to meet and exceed financial targets

-          Understanding of strategic development issues

-          Ability to find solutions to problems and overcome barriers

-          Ability to manage own work programme and work under pressure.

-          Ability to negotiate and identify opportunities and take proactive approach

-          A self-starter with a methodical and organised approach

-         The ability to develop and manage a wide range of both internal and external relationships and work cohesively with the fundraising team, managers, directors, trustees and other members of staff.

 

The salary package consists of a basic salary plus performance related bonus and 27 days holiday plus bank holidays.  The working week is 37.5 hours and requires some flexibility, the successful candidates will be expected to work both from home and the bibic offices in Somerset.
