We`re looking for a Regional Manager to drive our volunteer fundraising strategy in the South West.

About the role

If you’re looking for a fundraising management role, here’s your opportunity to be part of Cancer Research UK’s volunteer fundraising team. We inspire people to support the charity in their local communities, working with fundraising committees and volunteers to raise vital funds each year.

A motivational leader, you’ll be managing a large team of Area Volunteer Managers and Assistants who in turn look after a range of supporters. You’ll lead the team to maximise income and raise awareness of Cancer Research UK in the North of England. With well over 100 permanent fundraising committees across the region, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our volunteer fundraising strategy. This is why your official job title will be Regional Manager.

About you

Along with proven people management experience, you’ll need plenty of enthusiasm and passion for our cause. We’re looking for a dynamic and confident person who can develop meaningful relationships with a range of people including supporters and volunteers. You’ll also need the drive and ambition to set challenging targets, using your experience and expertise to develop the team to achieve great results. As a home based role, it’s vital that that you have solid experience of managing a large, geographically dispersed team. Ideally, you’ll have experience of community and volunteer fundraising with a sound understanding of the voluntary sector.

Development Manager
Ruskin Mill College
40 hours per week for 52 weeks per year

 

Job Purpose:

 

You will work in-conjunction with the Senior Management team and be responsible for developing and implementing the College’s Development Strategy with the aim of maximising the diversity of the provision and income streams for the College. You will report to the Head of Fundraising and Development and support them in implementing the college’s fundraising strategy as required.

As the post-holder you will need to attend meetings and other activities and there may be occasions when these will take place on an evening and/or weekend.
